This is a play on the NEW YORK METS for our Divisional Game of the Month. The Mets were shutout on Saturday against Pittsburgh but responded with 11 runs on Sunday to win the series and make it five runs in their last six games. We played on Christian Scott two starts back against this same Braves team and he had a tough luck loss against Chris Sale in a 1-0 defeat as he allowed that lone run over six innings. In 16 starts, he has a 3.15 ERA and 1.26 WHIP including a 2.85 ERA in his last 11 outings. The Mets have been able to win around him, going 11-5 in his 16 starts. Atlanta salvaged the series finale against the Yankees in a one run win after losing the first two games by one run. Bryce Elder has picked it up, allowing one run in each of his last three starts but is favored by his biggest price since late May against Washington and we will take the enormous value. 10* (951) New York Mets

This is a play on the ST. LOUIS CARDINALS as part of our MLB Monday Triple Play. The Phillies avoided the sweep Sunday with an extra innings win and we go against them here. Andrew Painter is on the hill and it means fade time. We missed out in his last start as he was facing Washington so it was not a play but we will fade here on the road as he is overpriced. He had a rough start to the season but he was recalled on July 31 and has looked good but we cannot be sold laying this one the road. The Phillies won his first two starts but are 1-11 in his 12 starts since then including seven straight losses. Hunter Dobbins has mainly been a spot starter and bulk reliever but was recalled last week to fill in full time after Dustin May was traded and he was awesome in his first start against the Yankees, allowing two runs in 6.1 innings and brings in a 3.60 ERA across 40 innings. 10* (954) St. Louis Cardinals

This is a play on the LOS ANGELES ANGELS as part of our MLB Monday Triple Play. The Rangers lost Sunday to conclude a 4-2 homestand and they hit the road where they are five games under .500. Mackenzie Gore comes in as the favorite as it is based on facing the Angels and he has a 4.55 ERA through 24 starts as he has been all over the place and that is mostly bad on the road as he has a 5.79 ERA across 65.1 innings and has allowed 22 runs in his last six road starts. Reid Detmers had a pair of poor starts prior to the All Star Break but has pitched well since then and comes in with a 4.12 ERA but has a 1.10 WHIP and is pitching to a 3.50 xERA. This is the contrarian side as the Angels have lost his last six starts and he is back home where he has yet to pick up a win as he is 0-5 but has been sharp as he has a 1.65 ERA over his last three starts here. 10* (964) Los Angeles Angels

This is a play on the ATHLETICS as part of our MLB Monday Triple Play. Tampa Bay is coming off a sweep in Seattle to make it six straight wins to open this roadtrip and have a 5.5-game lead in the American League East. They send out Freddy Peralta who has been anything but the ace the Mets thought he would be when they signed him and he was traded at the deadline and abruptly allowed seven runs in 3.2 innings against the Rockies but the offense bailed him out. Granted, that was in Colorado but he now heads to another hitters park with his 5.37 ERA that balloons to 7.11 in 10 road starts. The Athletics took two of three in Boston to bring in some momentum back home after a long skid and Jacob Lopez is back to his early season form after a rough May that led to a demotion. He has posted a strong 2.13 ERA over 21.1 innings across his last five starts. 10* (966) Athletics
