Northern Kentucky vs Green Bay
Green Bay +1 -105 at pinnacle
Free Play from Doc’s Sports. Take #844 Green Bay +1 over Northern Kentucky (5p.m., February 12 ESPN3) The Norse continue to move up the standing in the Horizon League and will enter this game having won 6 straight games. But this will be their second straight road series and they will have played 6 road games in their last 8 when this series in concluded. That will catch up with them in game one and we will take the points with the home team Phoenix. Green Bay will only improve under first year Coach Will Ryan (son of Bo) and I see them winning their second straight game on Friday. Do not miss out on Doc’s Sports weekend card featuring top plays in UFC, NASCAR and possibly our Big 10 Game of the Year on Sunday (8-unit play). Get them all and build your bankroll by having a handicapper with 49 years of experience on your side.
PICKS IN PROGRESS
Raptors vs Celtics
Toronto has been an over machine lately with seven straight overs. But they have played a lot of bad defensive teams during that stretch. They face a really good one tonight as Boston is No.6 for points allowed in the NBA. We think this total has been inflated about five points too high. The under is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings between these teams, and when they meet it usually has a playoff atmosphere, and both teams will likely put some good effort on the defensive side of the ball.
Magic vs Warriors
We just think this line has been inflated a bit. The Magic played the Blazers last time out and were getting only six, and we were on Portland in that game, and we think they are better than the Warriors. The Magic actually hung in that game but Portland got the slim cover. Golden State is still a work in progress and they have a big game against Durant and the Nets coming up next, so they may be distracted. Orlando has covered in 11 of the last 16 meetings in the Bay Area.
Blue Jackets vs Blackhawks
4-Unit Play. No. 44. Take Chicago over Columbus (Thursday at 8pm)
As per your selection on Chicago, we want to continue to ride the Blackhawks momentum as they’ve won three straight and have played some excellent defensive hockey in the process. The Hawks have held their opponents to just five total goals in those three games including back to back 1 goal games. The Hawks now take on a Columbus team that’s been inconsistent so far this season alternating wins and losses over their last five games. The Jackets always seem to have off-ice issues with Tortorella behind the bench and we see the latest distraction coming back to bite them in the ass. Chicago is a team in good form and we’ll take them. here as the home favorite.
UNLV vs Boise State
4 Unit Play. Take #758 Boise State over UNLV (10p.m., Thursday, February 11 CBSSN) Playing the force last week brought the Rebels scoring totals down but that should not be the case tonight in Boise. Despite dropping both games last week to Nevada, Boise State is still averaging close to 80 points per game on the season and if they hit that mark tonight, they game should go easily over the posted total.
Best of Luck – Doc’s Sports
Weber State vs Montana
4 Unit Play. Take #729 Weber State over Montana (7p.m., Thursday, February 11) The Wildcats look to remain as one of the top teams in the league tonight when they travel to take on Montana. Weber State has covered the spread in 4 straight games, and they are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 road games. Montana is 4-12 ATS in their last 16 games. They have also failed the cover the spread in 6 straight home games.
Doc’s Sports Service has been in the sports handicapping business since 1971, and we are recognized as one of the leaders and most trusted names in the industry.
Most handicapping services are one-man operations, but here at Doc’s Sports we are among the most progressive thinkers in the industry, and we have assembled some of the finest experts in the country for our service.
We are one of the few handicapping companies that have withstood the test of time because of hard work, honesty and consistently of providing winners to our valued clients.
Since 1971 Doc’s Sports became famous for our college football Big Ten Game of the Year that won and covered the point spread 19 years in a row.
Doc’s Sports is one of the only handicapping services whose powerful influence has historically moved the official Las Vegas line more than seven points.
At Doc’s Sports we often focus on lesser-known teams and less-popular games as oftentimes less information is available on those teams and games and certain trends tend to stick out and offer value that the average person may not catch.
Oddsmakers set lines to balance the action, so in reality we’re often handicapping against the general public perception, and the general public rarely ever wins long term. When you think of it that way our job is really not that difficult since we have more than four decades of experience and know what to look for when handicapping a game. The sportsbooks and oddsmakers have to handicap and set lines for every game — we simply find a few of their mistakes.
Doc’s Sports uses a combination of technical and fundamental handicapping along with exclusive information that we gather from a vast network of contacts that we have developed over the past 40+ years.
At Doc’s Sports we built our name in the 1970s by becoming one of the best in handicapping college sports. That still holds true today as our best results still come from college football and college basketball.
We also have individual full-time handicappers for NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, WNBA, CFL and major horse races, and we feel we have some of the top experts in the country in these designated fields. We are always in search of the best talent for our team, and what surprises most people is that some of our best information comes from our own clients.
These are trusted clients that have been not only customers but have turned into friends of ours over the years, and they are able to pick up on key information in their areas. We love the feeling of being able to help people make money when facing challenging odds.
Good money can be made if one has the connections, and here at Doc’s Sports we pride ourselves on uncovering the edge that gives the clients the ability to beat the books on a consistent basis.
