Patriots vs. Rams
The Patriots have shown flashes of greatness from time to time but are far too inconsistent to make a playoff push at this stage in the season. Their offense is atrocious, with no passing game while their rushing game struggles at time while their defense has played phenomenal in some games and downright terrible in others. They are bound to get ripped apart against a very talented Rams team that has performed very well against multiple playoff teams so far this season. Cam Newton and Bill Belichick are going to keep this game close, but Jared Goff and the explosive Rams offense will come out on top.
Final Pick: Rams
Texans vs. Bears
Houston hasn’t been very good at all this season and will now be without their only decent wide receiver left as Will Fuller has been suspended for six games. This comes after they released Kenny Stills a few weeks ago. They will just have no offensive talent outside of Deshaun Watson for this difficult matchup with the Chicago defense. However, they still have an opportunity due to the failure of the Bears offense and how bad their quarterbacks have played all year long. This game will be very low scoring, but Chicago should ultimately pull away with a victory here, it won’t be pretty though.
Final Pick: Bears
Broncos vs. Panthers
Denver is hopefully going to have one of their four quarterbacks ready to play this week after their awful mistake a few weeks ago against the Saints. However, their offense has been bad all year regardless of who is starting at the quarterback position. They have been bailed out numerous times because of their fast and talented defense but may struggle to get anything going against a very young and hungry Panthers defense. Plus, if Teddy Bridgewater is able to play this game it will be very hard for the Broncos defense to hold this offense in check long enough for their offense to get a rhythm. I think the Panthers are a far better overall team this season due to the Broncos injury bug.
Final Pick: Panthers
Chiefs vs. Dolphins
This is definitely going to be one of the most interesting games of the bunch this weekend. Patrick Mahomes and this Chiefs offense have looked completely unstoppable all year long but are going up against a very tough opponent in the Dolphins who have been able to force a takeaway in every game this season. This game is likely going to be won on the other side of the ball with the Chiefs talented defense taking on Tua Tagovailoa or Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Dolphins young offense. While this Dolphins team is very well rounded, they are incredibly inexperienced and have lacked any type of explosiveness on the offensive side of the ball. You have to have at least a little bit of that in order to keep up with Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill. Kansas City should take this one in a battle of defenses.
Final Pick: Chiefs
Packers vs. Lions
The Packers have been one of the best teams in the league all season long behind their future hall of fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers has been ripping apart opposing defenses all season while their defense locks down opposing offenses. Detroit hasn’t been able to get anything going in recent weeks after being stomped by the Texans on Thanksgiving as well as getting shut out by the Carolina Panthers. This game is a division matchup, but it shouldn’t be close, take Green Bay confidently here.
Final Pick: Packers
Colts vs. Raiders
Each of these teams were completely embarrassed a few weeks ago. The Colts have been a strong team all year but couldn’t stop Derrick Henry and the Titans. Their offense is going to have to improve this week along with their defense that used to be the top unit in the NFL. Meanwhile, the Raiders were losing to the Atlanta Falcons so bad a few weeks ago, that Derek Carr was benched. Atlanta had one of the worst secondaries in football and Las Vegas couldn’t put up a touchdown on the game. While the Raiders are a talented team, the Colts should come out to Vegas and beat the Raiders due to their defensive dominance and the Raiders offensive struggles.
Final Pick: Raiders
Football Team vs. 49ers
The Football Team actually has one of the best defenses in the NFL, with a terrific pass rush and a developing secondary. Their offense has been their issue as they have changed quarterbacks three times this season and haven’t had much success with any one of them. For the 49ers, they have had more turnover than any other team in the league due to injuries. They will be without a number of key starters including quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and tight end George Kittle. It is going to be a game filled with rushing attempts and dominant defensive performances but at the end of the day the Football Team has a more talented team at the moment because of how injures the 49ers roster is right now.
Final Pick: Football Team
Steelers vs. Bills
Pittsburgh remains a powerhouse in the AFC ever since Ben Roethlisberger has come back from injury. He has a plethora of weapons on offense such as Chase Claypool, Juju Smith-Schuster, James Connor and Eric Ebron. On the other side of the ball, they are ranked as one of the best defenses in the NFL with talent all over the place. They match up well against a Buffalo team that has a potential MVP candidate in Josh Allen. The Bills defense hasn’t been great this season due to injures and losses in free agency, but they are still a solid unit. This game is going to be a toss up, but the Bills may be the only team that can break the Pittsburgh winning streak this season, pick them for a huge upset win this week.
Final Pick: Bills
Vikings vs. Buccaneers
The Vikings have been getting on a bit of a roll lately, stringing multiple wins together and putting themselves right back into the playoff race this season. Their offense has been good, but they are a totally different offense when running back Dalvin Cook is off the field. They need to develop a better passing game while also getting healthier on the defensive side in order to combat this loaded Tampa Bay offense. Tom Brady and this arsenal of weapons is primed to tear apart this hobbled Vikings defense that has had trouble against a few teams this year with worse offensives. Look for Tampa Bay to blow out Minnesota this week.
Final Pick: Buccaneers
Titans vs. Jaguars
This game shouldn’t be all that close considering the differences between these two teams. The Titans have played great football all year behind Derrick Henry and his league leading rushing yardage. Their defense has had some problems, but their offense has been more than capable of handling those issues week to week. For Jacksonville, they are a complete mess on either side of the ball. The only true bright spot on their offense has been running back James Robinson but outside of him they haven’t had much success. Defensively they are nothing like the championship level team we saw a few years ago. Take the Titans with an abundance of confidence here.
Final Pick: Titans
Cowboys vs. Bengals
This isn’t going to be a must watch game anywhere as each of these teams are among the worst in the league. Dallas lost their franchise quarterback Dak Prescott earlier in the year and haven’t looked anything like the unit that they were with him. The Bengals lost their franchise quarterback as well in Joe Burrow as he will be gone all season similar to Prescott. Without Burrow, their offense lacks explosion across the board and aren’t near the team they were with him. Expect a very close game that is going to be low scoring with these average at best offenses going at it. However, there has to be a winner in this game and Dallas has the more experienced quarterback under center in Andy Dalton, who should get the job done this weekend.
Final Pick: Cowboys
Cardinals vs. Giants
The Cardinals have continued their inconsistency yet again last week but are in prime position to get a huge win here. Their offense is one of the deadliest in the league behind their newfound duo in Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins forming a great bond. They have also gotten good production from Chase Edmonds and Kenyan Drake in the running game. Their defense is inexperienced as a group but have been getting better and better as the year has gone on. They get a Giants team that is currently fighting for the lead in the division but may be doing so without their young quarterback Daniel Jones. He has been hobbled lately with a hamstring injury and it is yet to be known if he is getting the start this week. Murray and this Cardinals team are far better than the Giants and should get a huge win on the road this week.
Final Pick: Cardinals
Jets vs. Seahawks
New York is going to be one of the few teams in history that goes 0-16 in a season. Seriously, they are one of the worst all around teams in the league with very little offensive production as well as allowing their opponents to do whatever they want against them. This week they get Russell Wilson and one of the best offenses in the league with Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf. While their defense isn’t the best, chances are they are going to be winning by so much that the Jets won’t be able to keep up with them. Take the Seahawks with a ton of confidence in this game.
Final Pick: Jets
Saints vs. Eagles
The Saints are a very tough team to predict with Taysom Hill riding the starting quarterback job with Drew Brees out. Their rushing attack has been deadly, but their main success has been on the defensive side of the ball. In the past five weeks, the Saints defense is the top unit in the league and have been making huge plays all over the field. They should have their way this week against a struggling Eagles team that has had very little offensive success this year. Carson Wentz doesn’t look like himself this season while their rushing attack hasn’t done well due to their terrible offensive line. This game may be closer than expected due to the mixed performances from Hill, but the Saints should have more than enough to take down Philadelphia in this game.
Final Pick: Saints
Falcons vs. Chargers
Atlanta has played so much better under their new head coach than they were under Dan Quinn. Their offense looks more explosive even in the games that Julio Jones wasn’t playing, and their defense has been decent lately. However, their secondary will be getting tested to the limits this week against potential rookie of the year, quarterback Justin Herbert. Herbert has been slinging it around all season and has taken this talented Chargers offense to new heights this year. Their defense hasn’t been what it should be as they are missing a few key pieces including Derwin James, but they are talented enough to get them a victory. I think that Herbert is going to rip apart this Atlanta secondary this game and make this a shootout. One that Herbert should be able to win against the veteran Matt Ryan.
Final Pick: Falcons
Ravens vs. Browns
The Ravens may be without a ton of starters due to COVID-19 but assuming they are fully healthy, they are a force in this league despite their down year. Lamar Jackson is one of the most dangerous quarterbacks in the league with his dual threat ability and their defense has talent on all three levels of the field. They get a Browns team this week that they absolutely demolished earlier in the season. Cleveland has struggled on offense all year, but they just continue to find ways to win ball games. As much as I like the Browns due to their success this year, they were just blown out by this team in the first matchup and haven’t looked great since. This will be a much closer game, but the Ravens are going to come out on top.
Final Pick: Ravens
