Colts vs. Titans
The Colts have been inconsistent through most of this season but that is mostly due to their new quarterback Philip Rivers. Rivers is still capable of leading a team to the postseason but ends up making too many crucial turnovers in big moments, he will need to lower that number this week against a team with a similar game plan. The Titans are another team that love to run the football and establish their dominance through time of possession in order to keep their defense fresh and free of fatigue. They also have arguably the best running back in the NFL to help them out in Derrick Henry. Both of these teams are bound to take a slow and methodical offensive approach in this one, but the Titans have been great at it all season long and should continue this week. Take the Titans in this matchup.
Final Pick: Titans
Football Team vs. Lions
The Football Team still can’t seem to figure out their quarterback situation, as they have stuck with Kyle Allen for a few weeks but continue to reference Dwayne Haskins leading up to the game. Either way, their offense has been atrocious all season long outside of Terry McLaurin and Antonio Gibson. Their defense has surprisingly been their strong suit this season and they will need them to step up yet again this week against Matthew Stafford and the Lions. Detroit has struggled mightily this season mostly because of their lack of talent on the defensive side of the ball. Their offense has looked good all season behind their new star in Kenny Golladay and their three headed running back trio of Adrian Peterson, D’Andre Swift, and Kerryon Johnson. This should be a low scoring game that is full of defensive stops, but it is hard to bet against Stafford in a game where points will be hard to come by. Their offense is just far better than Washington’s.
Final Pick: Lions
Texans vs. Browns
The Texans have looked like a shell of their former selves ever since getting rid of DeAndre Hopkins. They just have no consistency at all on offense right now outside of Deshaun Watson, who seems like he is getting pressured on every drop back he takes. Not to mention that they are the 30th ranked defense in the NFL at the moment. They are getting a tough task this week against a very talented Browns offense that should pick apart Houston’s defense. While Cleveland isn’t the best defensive team in the league, they should be able to cause enough disruption up front in order to force Watson into mistakes early on. The Browns should be more than capable of winning this game as they have been better all season long.
Final Pick: Browns
Broncos vs. Raiders
The Broncos have been hit hard by the injury bug this season but are beginning to get some life back into them as this season goes on. They got a huge division win over the Los Angeles Chargers a few weeks ago and have another tough division matchup this week against the Raiders. The Raiders have struggled mightily as of late after starting the season off so strong. Their offense is incredibly inconsistent while their defense is wildly inexperienced. However, the Raiders are far more talented than Denver at the moment due to their injuries they sustained this year. Which means the Raiders are in prime position to take a big win here and keep themselves in postseason position.
Final Pick: Raiders
Chargers vs. Dolphins
The Chargers have so much to look forward as they are filled with young talent across their roster. However, they are just the recipients of bad luck so far this season. They lost Derwin James for the season early on and have consistently lost games in which they are leading for three quarters or more. They now match up against a Dolphins team that has been really hot the last few weeks and have rallied around their new rookie quarterback. This will most likely be a high scoring affair, but the Dolphins have been so good lately that it’s hard to not pick them in this matchup. Their defense has been exceptional lately and was able to absolutely demolish Jared Goff and the Rams a few weeks back.
Final Pick: Dolphins
Seahawks vs. Rams
This game has all the pieces to be the best game of the week. The Seahawks have been rolling this season behind the MVP caliber play of Russel Wilson. Their offense has been by far the best in the league so far this season. Their downside is that their defense is the 32nd ranked unit in the league this season, although they will be getting their all-pro safety Jamal Adams back from injury this week. They get their division rivals this week in the Rams who were able to start the season off hot before plummeting back down to Earth in recent weeks. They were simply outcoached in few of their games so far this season and will need to prepare much better if they want any hopes of beating Wilson and the Seahawks. However, it is impossible to pick against this hot Seahawks team right now, take them in this matchup.
Final Pick: Seahawks
Ravens vs. Patriots
A few weeks ago, this game could have been the most anticipated game of the week, but right now it is looking like the Ravens will blow the Patriots out. Baltimore has been great again this season, establishing a dominant rushing attack and even a decent passing attack. They also have one of the most talented defenses in all of football right now. They are matchup up against Cam Newton and the Patriots who have had no success on offense lately. Newton has thrown five interceptions and fumbled three times in his two starts back from the COVID-19 list and didn’t perform well last week either. While their defense isn’t terrible, their offensive shortcomings will end up keeping them out on the field for longer than anticipated, causing fatigue. This game should be a Ravens blowout.
Final Pick: Ravens
Eagles vs. Giants
As each week goes by it still shocks me that one of these team can get a home playoff game this season. The Eagles have been completely decimated by injuries which has a lot to do with their terrible record this season. Meanwhile, the Giants lost Saquon Barkley early on in the season and have turned into the 31st ranked offense in the NFL. This is going to be a low scoring division game that has very little highlight plays on the offensive end. This is one of those games where I would like to pick neither of these teams to win but at the end of the day the Eagles are the far better team, even while injured. Philadelphia should be able to get another much-needed win here.
Final Pick: Eagles
Jaguars vs. Packers
The Jaguars have been struggling so far this season, mostly due to them getting rid of the rest of their talent in this past offseason. They are now in full rebuild mode which means they will not be winning many games this season; this game is no exception. Green Bay has proven to be a Super Bowl contender so far this season behind their future hall of fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers and their pro bowl receiver Davante Adams. They also have a defense with a load of talent that causes issues for any team they go up against. The Packers will dominate in every area of this game en route to another victory. Jacksonville just doesn’t have enough to compete with them.
Final Pick: Packers
Buccaneers vs. Panthers
Tampa Bay has continued to be one of the most loaded teams in the NFL right now, especially after the signing of Antonio Brown a few weeks ago. This offense now consists of Chris Godwin, Mike Evans, Antonio Brown, Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, Lesean McCoy and Leonard Fournette. There are only a few defenses in the league that are able to compete with this level of talent on the offensive end and unfortunately the Panthers aren’t one of those teams. While they are getting their superstar running back Christian McCaffrey back into the lineup, they will not be able to keep up with the Buccaneers high powered offense that is bound to light up the Panthers secondary. This game will be somewhat close due to it being a division game but there is no way that Brady allows this team to lose with that much talent on his side.
Final Pick: Buccaneers
Bills vs. Cardinals
This is arguably the hardest game to predict out of the rest of the games this week. The Bills and the Cardinals have been incredibly inconsistent throughout the season but still remain in competition for first place in their respective divisions. Bills quarterback Josh Allen was getting MVP talks early on in the season but has regressed tremendously since then, as their offense hasn’t been clicking at all the past few games. Their defense has also not done them any favors, as injuries have been hurting that unit all season long. They get a Cardinals team that has gotten a new dynamic duo on their offense in Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins. Having those two on the field at the same time has caused a ton of problems for opposing defense and will continue this week against the Bills. Again, each of these teams are incredibly hard to pick due to their inconsistency but I believe that the Cardinals will be able to get it done somehow and take this game at home.
Final Pick: Cardinals
49ers vs. Saints
The 49ers have had probably the worst luck in the league with injuries this season, as they head into this game without Raheem Mostert, Jimmy Garoppolo, George Kittle, Nick Bosa and Solomon Thomas along with a ton of other players. They will struggle against this shockingly good Saints defense without their three best offensive players and will have to establish a decent rushing attack to take pressure off of their young new quarterback. Unfortunately for them, the Saints defense is a top three unit against the run this season, which will make it very hard to run the football consistently on them. Not to mention the fact that the Saints will be getting all-pro receiver Michael Thomas back from injury barring any setbacks to pair with future hall of famer Drew Brees. When healthy, this game is a high scoring and closely knitted affair. But due to the 49er’s injuries, the Saints should be able to take full advantage and get a win at home.
Final Pick: Saints
Bengals vs. Steelers
The Bengals will be facing off against one of the best teams in the league this season in the Pittsburgh Steelers. Pittsburgh has been shocking everyone this season, with big wins over the Tennessee Titans and the Baltimore Ravens. Their defense is currently the best in the league, and they have gotten a huge offensive boost after drafting Chase Claypool and getting back their franchise quarterback Ben Roethlisberger back from injury. They get a gritty Bengals team that has battled each and every game despite not having enough talent on their roster. Rookie quarterback Joe Burrow had proven he can lead this team to victory on multiple occasions, but that offensive line has allowed him to get hit far too many times. Pittsburgh will generate a ton of issues for that offensive line and put Cincinnati in an early hole. Take the Steelers with confidence here.
Final Pick: Steelers
Vikings vs. Bears
The Vikings have improved lately, that was most notable in their big time win over the Green Bay Packers a few weeks ago. They have struggled offensively and defensively so far this season and many fans were hoping to get rid of their quarterback Kirk Cousins in the offseason. However, he stuck around but has struggled to find any consistency. Much like the Chicago offense in general after switching quarterbacks’ multiple times. From Mitchell Trubisky to Nick Foles, this team just has no talent on the offensive side of the football. Their defense though, is among the best in the league and consistently keep this team in every game. As bas as the Bears offense is, I have to pick them in this game due to their dominant defense. They will get them enough time in order for Chicago to gain a nice lead.
Final Pick: Bears
